Liberate yourself

Liberate yourself and take advantage of the Wireless Broadband (Wi-Fi) network. Here's the low-down on everything you need to access BT Wireless Broadband in your area.

What you need to go wireless

You can access our BT Wireless Broadband hotspots with the Wi-Fi minutes you may get as part of our BT Total Broadband package*. Or you can use one of our BT Openzone packages - the choice is yours!

Take a look at what you need to access BT Wireless Broadband when you're at home, at the office or out and about.

I have BT Total Broadband

I don't have BT Total Broadband

Already have BT Total Broadband? Then you can easily join the world of wireless. You just need to sign up to BT FON**.

BT FON is the world's largest Wi-Fi community. Here's how it works: When you allow other members to securely log onto your Wi-Fi when they're in range of your Home Hub, you can, in return, securely log onto the hundreds of thousands of other Wi-Fi connections in the network. This includes all the other BT FON community hotspots, as well as over 2,500 BT Openzone hotspots in handy public locations and the extended BT Openzone network available across 12 city centres in the UK and Ireland.

Not a BT Total Broadband customer? No problem. All you need to do is buy access to BT Openzone† - with the range of flexible payment options available for you to choose from - and you'll be wireless in no time.

As a BT Openzone subscriber, you get access to fast, easy-to-use internet access in convenient hotspot locations across the world. From airports and stations to hotels and cafes - even in the street. So you can access your email, the web and stay in touch wherever you are, whenever you want.

All you need to do is buy access time - we have a range of vouchers for one-off use, or a number of subscription packages to choose from. Then walk into a wireless hotspot and connect to the internet using your Wi-Fi enabled device, such as the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet . It's that easy.
